Full disclaimerAhead of the broader nationwide agreement, Ontario and Nova Scotia's own bilateral deal goes live: the LCBO and NSLC begin authorizing producers from each other's province to ship directly to consumers, with applications opening in early March 2026. It's a two-way, all-alcohol direct-to-consumer market between the two provinces.
Producers could apply the day the deal took effect, but authorizations were issued over the following weeks rather than instantly, so there's a real lag between the agreement's signing and the first actual sale.
